Ms. Reel Lady Pageant

Mission: The 2023 Ms. Reel Lady PCB Pageant will take place on Thursday, June 29, 2023, hosted by Reel Ladies founder, Suzy Nichols, and members of Reel Ladies Sportfishing Team (exact times and locations for all events to come). Ms. Reel Lady PCB’s primary function is to represent lady anglers, such as, Reel Ladies of Reel Ladies Licensing, LLC and all Panama City Beach fishing events (as described below).

Vision and Background: Lady Anglers of Panama City Beach vie for the title of Ms. Reel Lady PCB, which among other things provides at least a $1,000 academic scholarship. This is the inaugural year for the Ms. Reel Lady PCB Pageant. The pageant is not based on beauty. This young lady will be a lady angler who enjoys the sport of fishing. She will represent many lady anglers who share the passion to empower women and children through the sport of fishing while creating conservationist and encourage sustainable fishing.

The lady angler who receives the title of Ms. Reel Lady PCB is judged on: her personality and communication skills; her knowledge of the sport as a whole; and her availability to fulfill the duties of Ms. Reel Lady PCB at local fishing events. 

Ms. Reel Lady PCB serves as a public figure throughout the year, representing Reel Ladies Licensing, LLC, Reel Ladies Sportfishing Teams and many Panama City Beach fishing functions, including the Billfish Open, the annual PCB Fishing Rodeo, Reel Kids Fishing Rodeo, and the Reel Ladies Sportfishing Tournament.

Pre-Pageant Events: Preceding the Pageant, several fun-filled social events are planned for the purpose of the contestants meeting the pageant officials and judges. These events assist in for judges’ vetting process and ultimate consideration for the title of Ms. Reel Lady PCB. Judges will have the opportunity to connect with Pageant Contestants during a Surf Fishing “Funamant”, getting to know the lady angler contestants. Contestants will have individual interviews with the pageant judges as well as an opportunity to enjoy an afternoon with other contestants. 

Scholarships: Scholarship recipients must attend an accredited U.S. college, university or approved technical school. The scholarship money will be mailed directly to the school to be credited to the student’s account.  

Wednesday, May 3 – 6:00p-8:00p Interviews/REHEARSAL- Bay Point Yacht Club- Dress: Smart Casual – Judges Present 

Sunday, May 21- Surf Fishing Funament – 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. St. Andrews State Park with RLPCB/RLS and Judges 

Sunday, June 11- Fish Fry – Nichols River House – 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. with RLPCB and Judges 

Wednesday, June 28- Bay Point Marina. 5:30 p.m. DRESS REHEARSAL -Dress: BRING YOUR PAGEANT SHOES (Please arrive at least 30 minutes early- Judges Present) 

Thursday, June 29, 2023 – MS. Reel Lady PANAMA CITY BEACH PAGEANT 2023 Bay Point Marina- TBD

Friday, June 30- BILLFISH OPEN Weigh scales open at 4:00 P.M., and Weigh scales close at 9:00 P.M. 

Saturday, July 1- BILLFISH OPEN Weigh scales open at 4:00 P.M., and Weigh scales close at 9:00 P.M.

 Sunday, July 2 - BILLFISH OPEN Awards ceremony at 10:30 A.M 

Saturday, Sept. 24- PCB FISHING RODEO Kick Off Party (12 noon-7pm) 

Saturday, Oct. 1- PCB FISHING RODEO 5k Fun Run (8am-10am) – Kids Fishing Rodeo (10am-1pm) 

Saturday, Oct. 8- PCB FISHING RODEO Reel Ladies Sportfishing Tournament (10am-7pm) 

Sunday, Oct. 9- PCB FISHING RODEO Pirate Party (12 noon-7pm)-Will Thompson Band (5pm-7pm) – Closing Ceremony – Fireworks (8:15pm) Oct. 9, Sunday PCB FISHING RODEO Pirate Party (12 noon-7pm) - Will Thompson Band (5pm-7pm) – Closing Ceremony – Fireworks (8:15pm)
